Mr Kelvin is an approachable and encouraging teacher who has strong positive relationships with his students. He constantly tries his best and beyond to help his students improve their understanding of chemistry. As students learn in different ways and there are many ways in empowering them, he makes confusing chemistry concepts easier to digest and understand with his student-centric approach instead of the common one-size-fits-all approach. Honestly, I felt that Chemistry was one of the hardest subjects in A Levels. However, with his patience and clarity, he is able to teach concepts, engage and enable students to grasp the concepts in many different ways enthusiastically. Whether was it through his teaching, concept maps or other deliverables given by him, it gave me the confidence in Chemistry as well. Interestingly, Mr Kelvin has impacted me with Chemistry in my life. He has made me unveil my interest in Chemical Bonding and Organic Chemistry so much that it led me to pursue a degree in Materials Science & Engineering which is chemistry heavy in these areas. As a nice and caring teacher, he is certainly one of the best teachers I’ve ever met, and I am definitely grateful to be taught by Mr Kelvin. Thank you for teaching me Mr Kelvin!

Mr Kelvin is a very patient and understanding teacher. Every time his students have any difficulties with assignments, he would patiently teach us, making sure we understand the full concept so that we can solve similar types of problems without any difficulties. Mr Kelvin will wholeheartedly teach his students and ensure that they understand and are able to absorb. He even goes the extra mile of bringing models and items to help improve our understanding of certain topics! Regardless of how slow or how fast you learn, Mr Kelvin doesn't shun any of his students away, and even makes sure that his slower students are able to catch up.

Chemistry had always been a subject I found difficult to master. However I was fortunate to have Mr Kelvin as my chemistry teacher! He was one of the few chemistry teachers I have known, who had managed to explain concepts to me in both a concise and captivating manner. Not only did he have the capacity to teach well, he also genuinely cared for his students, taking time and effort to point out the weaknesses of each of them, that they may achieve their fullest potential.

Mr Kelvin was both my Chemistry and Civics Tutor for both J1 and J2 (2016-2017). Not only is he dedicated to helping his students, he also cares for them. He realises some Chemistry concepts might be too complex for students to understand and tries to simplify it for them. Mr Kelvin goes the extra mile by bringing teaching aids, such as 3D models of molecules/compounds, into class, to help his students better visualise the Chemistry concept at work. If he sees that a student needs extra help, he would proactively approach and assist him/her. I am extremely grateful to have Mr Kelvin as my teacher as it was thanks to him that I managed to obtain a distinction for GCE 'A' Level Chemistry.
